I wish I could see the original "gay" review, just for laughs.

I really disliked this one, especially at its price point. Until I tried it with a spicy meal. For some reason, that made it taste AWESOME.

I don't know if I'll buy it again, but it rocks with spicy food. I can't wait to try it with some slow-roasted pork BBQ with extra-spicy rub and sauce!

I actually really liked Bulleit Bourbon even over Makers Mark and Knob Creek etc. It is my preferred bourbon for making my patented Whiskey Smashes! ( which are hard to beat)

I wonder if anyone else has noticed a big difference in the taste of Bulleit from the 1.75L screwtop and the .750L corked?

I'm a BIG fan of Makers Mark and drink if often - even using it in Manhattan and Old Fashions. However, after a tip from a fellow liquor store patron, he suggested using Bulleit for Manhattans because most drink recipes for Manhattans call for rye. Since Bulleit does contains some rye (not sure of the %), I gave it try and really liked it! So...give it a try in Manhattans. I don't suggest drinking it straight up or even on the rocks. Save the straight-up drinking to Makers Mark.

Bulleit is a regular for me. As a bourbon drinker I often look for that $20-30 range to keep on hand. Stepping up to Woodford, 1792 or Blanton's on occasion. That being said, Bulleit and Buffalo Trace are can't miss bourbons for the price. I'm not going to insult the reviewer here but "dusty" was a way for him to tie in his review to the old west look and feel of this bourbon. It most certainly does not taste dusty. That's just a silly comment. Anyhow, try it. You will like it as most have pointed out above this entry.

This is a sad review for such a great tasting bourbon...dusty???? WTF? I like Bulleit and for the cost will make it an everyday type of bourbon. I like the rye and feel it has a sweetness over brands in my bar. Dont let this review make you not try it. Others agree as well as most reviews, for the $ Bulleit devlivers!

I have been drinking Bulleit Bourbon for about twenty three years now and it ALWAYS satisfies the taste buds. A highly under-rated (by some) but quality consistent Bourbon, it has a slight peppery nip to it with NO after taste. It is not sweet like some of the girliemen prefer... and it does have that 90 proof boot to it that lessors won't be able to handle. But, give me a nice healthy shot of Bulleit and maybe an ice cold Yuengling and I will not make trouble for them. Dusty taste? My friend... you are NOT supposed to suck the cork dry... :)

Wow, this is the first time I have ever read a really bad review of Bulliet. It is one of my everyday drinkers along with Elijah Craig 12. Bourbon is my favorite whiskey and I have a fair amount of it most of which is more expensive then the Bulliet. That being said it is neither bad nor cheap Whiskey. I have introduced many people to it and have few that did not think it is good. And more then handful have made it their everyday drinker. While it doesn't have the bite of Bakers, the smoothness of Van Winkle Special Reserve (my favorite Whiskey, I like it better the 20 yr) or the complexity of Four Roses Single Barrel (BTW Bulliet is made by Four Roses for Diageo. That being said it is a quality product and a very good Whiskey. I do not find it rough, in fact it is a favorite of many of my friends who have just started drinking Bourbon. A brief FYI about me, I am in my mid 40’s, my favorite hard Achol is Bourbon followed closely by Irish Whiskey and Single Malt Scotch. I drink all Whisky/Whiskey straight up or on the Rocks and unless I am drinking a Barrel proof whiskey (i.e. George t Stagg, W.L. Weller Special Reserve), then I also add water. I don’t buy Whiskey to make mixed drinks. I also love Belgium Ales, Irish Stouts and Porters, Yuengling Lager and most of what Victory and Dogfish Head brew. .
