Bookers is, as you’ve stated, hands down the definitive bourbon with which all others should be measured against. And with any high-end spirit, it needs to be slowly enjoyed and likely cut with 1-2 ice cubes. Great review!

Tyler, I ran into the same quizzical look at a nice restaurant. “Knob Creek? What’s that?” So I ordered a Maker’s Mark for the first time. Didn’t like.

You know, I too finished off my Knob with eggnog (normally mix only with light ice), and I really enjoyed it! That was Christmas Eve. Guess what was waiting under the tree? Yeah… I was a good boy last year.

I almost forgot that I have some of this at home. Basil is some awesome bourbon.

Your review is right on. I’ve never had 10 glasses, but it is VERY smooth with a fantastic after taste.

I’m not sure what you call it, but sometimes when you drink bourbon your nose burns/tingles as you take a sip. I noticed that this didn’t happen when I drank Basil.

Good review and keep up the site. I already have you guys bookmarked.

Marcus: Thanks for the email and the link to this post.

I haven’t had Bulleit in quite some time and I am certainly not qualified to review bourbon.

I do remember it being better than I thought for a $20 bottle of bourbon. I’ve even bought it instead of Knob Creek before.

And I didn’t know that gays drank bourbon. Doesn’t seem colorful enough. /end bad jokes.

Now you’re making me want to pick up a bottle and give it another try so I can write a more intelligent comment.

Keep up the reviews. I added a link to your site on mine under my post “Top 5 manly drinks”. It fit in perfectly with the article.
